Julie James: Good morning, everybody, and welcome. In the event of a fire alarm, we will leave the room via the marked fire exits. We are not expecting a drill this morning, so please hurry to follow directions from the ushers should you hear the alarm. Please ensure that all mobiles and things that bleep are turned off. The meeting will be bilingual, as always, with interpretation available on channel 1. We have received an apology from Llyr Huws Gruffydd, and Alun Ffred is apparently attending as a substitute, although he is not with us just yet. I expect him to arrive any minute.

the committee resolves to exclude the public from the remainder of the meeting in accordance with Standing Order No. 17.42(vi).
